The last weekend in January, the Kicksled World Championship is held in Geilo. This is a unique and social event that has existed since 1982, and which has now become a beloved winter carnival and a folk festival, for both young and old!
There are mainly two classes for adults and an after party, but also a separate Kicksled World Championship for children.
8:00 PM - Spark Off at Off Pist! Distribution of race numbers, rules briefing, and party (age limit 20+).
12:00 PM - Kids' Spark World Championship (Costume race).
1:00 PM - Official Spark World Championship - Racing class.
2:00 PM - Official Spark World Championship - Costume class (individual or team).
4:00 PM - After Spark at Off Pist (age limit 20+).
Tickets for the Preparty and Afterparty are included in the participant ticket for the Spark World Championship. Tickets for the Afterparty only can also be purchased.

The event features mainly two adult categories and a separate Spark World Championship for children, presented as a winter carnival. The Spark World Championship takes place in the town center, and it’s free for spectators. A grandstand will be set up in the pedestrian street, and we recommend bringing warm clothes and a seat cushion. Food and drinks will be served in the pedestrian area.
