Geilo Grand Prix 2025!

The popular speed race, Geilo Grand Prix, will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The race takes place on the slope network on the "Geilo side" and includes competition across 5 lifts and runs. The race starts at the bottom of Halstensgård and finishes in Havsdalen!

Update: Geilo Grand Prix – Parallel Cup 2025

Due to safety considerations, this year’s Geilo Grand Prix will be moved to the Arneløypa slope in Havsdalen. The event will feature parallel slalom with a start point a bit down the slope and the finish line at the bottom. The race will take place during the ski lift’s operating hours.

Schedule and Practical Info:

  • Start numbers can be picked up from 13:30 at the finish area in Havsdalen
  • Race starts at 14:30
  • Prize ceremony at 17:00
  • Age limit: 15 years

After the race, we’ll continue with the prize ceremony and après-ski at Havsdalskroa, where you can enjoy a great food and drink package deal. After the prize ceremony and après-ski, a free bus will be available from Havsdalen to Geilo town center, departing at 19:00.

All participants will receive a 20% discount code for Helly Hansen. In addition, we’ll be handing out great prizes, including:

  • A season pass from SkiGeilo for the winner
  • Products from Helly Hansen and Coca-Cola

Information about the race

Anyone over the age of 15 can register for the race, and winners will be crowned in the various categories. The competition is divided into men's and women's categories, as well as different age groups. Everyone is welcome to participate, both active athletes and recreational skiers.

Race fee: NOK 400 per person
Registration deadline: April 15, 2025, by 12:00
Number pickup: Halstensgård, April 15, from 14:30 to 16:00
Race meeting: 16:30 at Halstensgård
Start time: 17:00 (arrive on time to avoid delays)
Luggage transport: From Halstensgård to Havsdalen by car. No loose items; make sure to pack everything in a backpack/bag, etc.
Award ceremony: Around 19:00

Race Rules

All participants must wear a helmet. We encourage everyone to show respect and good manners, and to follow the skiing rules. All participants participate at their own risk and responsibility. Participants must ensure they have appropriate insurance if necessary.
