Horseback riding - Half day tour
Horseback trip from Geilo Horse Centre - The trip goes up into the hills of the South side of Geilo. We ride alone varied terrain, through forests and rivers up into the mountains for great views of Geilo and Hallingskarvet along the way.

Duration: Approx 3.5 hours. Attendance @ 9.30
The price includes: Riding tour with guide + riding helmet. Price per horse NOK 1400
Age limit: 12 years not recommended for beginners. If you are inexperienced we recommend the 1 or 2 hour tour we offer.
What to bring: Dress as If you were hiking in the mountains. We recommend lang trousers and sturdy footwear (hiking boots), wind and waterproof jacket and gloves. We have riding helmets to borrow but you can use your own riding/cycling helmet.

When you arrive you will be assigned your horse which you will groom and saddle up. When everyone is ready we will mount the horses and start the trip. The trip will vary depending on the group and the weather on the day. But we go up the forests towards Kikut and possible all the way up to Bruslettstolen and Leirtjønn. There is a lot of varied terrain, and we climb quite a lot in elevation during the trip. Where possible we try to include tølt/trot and gallop If we can! We try to always use the icelandic horses for the mountains and their maximum capacity is 90kg.
