In Geilo we have two skilled providers of horseback riding tours, Geilo Hestesenter and Stall Brusletto - Geilo Aktivitetssenter. Both offer horseback riding in both summer and autumn, here you can choose between 1-hour horse riding to longer trips such as half and day trips.
1- and 2-hours, half- and day trips: The trips starts in Vestlia and goes through varied terrain such as Slaattahølen, Bruslettstølen, and Gamle Skurdalsvegen. The 1-hour trip is suitable for everyone and goes along the water at Geilo Kulturkyrkje or in Vestliaskogen. The 2-hour tour explores the forest and the light trail network, with the possibility of speed and excitement for experienced riders. The day trip of approx. 6 hours, go up the hill towards Kikut, with a break to enjoy the view towards Hallingskarvet.
1- and 3-hour trip: Tours in beautiful terrain above the tree line towards Budalen under Hallingskarvet. The 1-hour trip follows dirt roads with detours to forest paths and offers great views of Geilo. On the 3-hour trip you climb 250 metres, cross Lake Budalen and pass the Ski Center In Havsdalen before returning via Prestholtveien.
