Practical Information About Canoe Rental:

  • Duration: 1 day.
  • The price includes: Full day hire of canoe, paddles and life jackets.
  • Age limit: Responsible person must be over 18 years of age. Children must be accompanied by adults.
  • Meeting place Hol Turlag: Key is picked up/delivered at the Tourist Information Center in Geilo centre. Oars, vest and boat are collected in boathouses by the Veslefjord marked with "Hol Turlag" and "Uthus".
  • Meeting place Geilo Active: The canoes are conveniently located near the parking area of ​​Geilo Badestrand. Paddles and life jackets must be picked up/delivered at an address along Hjalmevegen on the way to the beach.
  • Be considerate: The Ustedalsfjord is a nesting area for many bird species, and we encourage visitors to be extra careful during the summer months by avoiding paddling into reeds and keeping a respectful distance from bird nests.
